Basic

<p>
The legs of our Basic tripods are constructed from Eastern White Ash. Its outstanding qualities of strength, stiffness, and dimensional stability make Eastern White Ash a particularly suitable material for tripod construction. Each piece is individually handcrafted to precise dimensional tolerances, then coated with a beautiful yet durable lacquer finish. Finally, the parts are sorted by color and grain pattern into matching sets to be assembled.
The tripod heads are machined from poured aluminum castings, not stamped from thin sheet-metal. The straps are stainless steel for extra strength at stress points. All metal parts are richly coated in wrinkle-black epoxy and baked in a finishing oven. Nothing provides a more durable metal finish than baked-epoxy powder-coat, yet it looks particularly attractive silhouetted against Eastern White Ash. The result is equally at home in the drawing room or in the field, a perfect combination of ruggedness and beauty.
